if you gross up our points we will finish with 68 (talk is cheap and obviously this is baloney). However, while we dwell in the realm of fantasy, that would have finished 5th last year (comfortably).

I think we should, not could, finish 8th or above. Anything more than that can wait until we can see our position at Christmas.
Top 6 is a really nice positive bet though. It's ambitious but not ludicrous.

Just had 20 quid at 9/1 with bet365 to win Prem without the so called "Big 6"
Eve are 2/1, Soton 7/2 and Palace 6/1 and I reckon we have as good a chance as any of those teams.
Eve at 2/1 is ridiculous IMO

Our team spirit was great this time last year, winning makes a huge difference.
However, we have a better squad, seemingly added some better players at the top end and I am confident that because of circumstances and other things, our manager is not going to be a lame duck for the second half of the season. So I am pretty confident we will do a fair bit better than last year.

Despite the 'be careful what you wish for' mentality of the media, we are being taken a lot more seriously this season than last.... last year no one gave a seconds thought that we would finish in a CL or European place at this stage of the season but I have seen several mentions of it this season, including the match report in today's Telegraph saying that we can dare to dream about CL, and I don't think the reporter is taking the piss ;-)

Top 6 is more likely than 4th.I have been impressed how we have dealt with injuries so far this season and there does seem to be a better team spirit than last season.It will be interesting to see who we bring in next summer to improve us even further.

Absolutely delighted to be in the CL spots, was last season as well but we need to improve massively.
Our away form has been excellent to the big clubs not average against Palace, Leicester and Sunderland and our home form on the whole is nothing special.
However we have the players to sort that out and make a real challenge for 6th, 7th, 8t but for me it's a worry we've gone with the same midfield that are not all that.
